Isaacs on the Quay
Situated on the Ipswich Waterfront, overlooking the moored boats, Isaacs on the Quay is a historic venue, which is now a bustling bar, restaurant, conference and wedding venue.
It’s Coffee Tavern is open daily for breakfast from 7:30am (7:00am at the weekends) and serves until 11:30am, when the main menu begins.
Isaacs is another great venue to watch live sport and listen to live music. With an array of HD screens both inside and outside, it’s great for watching big sporting events. Every Sunday between March – October they host live music, outside in their courtyard, starting at 3:00pm, it’s the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
The outside area is perfect to enjoy the stunning views across the Ipswich Waterfront and inside you’ll find many historical features, each adding to the charm of the building.
Dockside Deli, situated just next door, opened in November 2018 and serves a wide choice of lunchtime options, including sandwiches, fresh salads, pasties, sausage rolls, soups, pizza by the slice and hot and cold drinks – perfect to take out or eat in.
The Briarbank Bar and Brewery
Established in May 2013, the Briarbank Bar and Brewery creates a range of hand-crafted quality beer and serves it, along with a variety of other drinks in their first-floor bar.
Situated behind Isaacs on the Quay on Fore Street, they host live jazz on the third Sunday of every month and host two beer festivals and two gin festivals throughout the year.
If you’d like to know more about where and how their hand-crafted quality beer is made, why not attend one of their tours? For just £10 per person, you will be shown around the downstairs microbrewery, taken through the process by our head brewer and get to sample some of our beer in a taster tray in the upstairs bar afterwards. All tour dates can be found on their website.
And that’s not all – if you like to brew your beer, why not enter their homebrew competition? Entries are now open for 2019 and judging takes place during October. The winner gets to brew their beer in the Briarbank microbrewery and will have it sold on tap throughout our venues.
